Connecting Tables to Workflows
In Frontline, every table can be connected to workflows so that actions happen automatically whenever data changes.
This allows you to create a fully connected system where new records, updates, or conditions inside a table can trigger automations instantly.
By linking Tables and Workflows, you can keep your company’s operations synchronized and efficient without manual work.
How it works
When a record in a table is created or updated, a workflow can run automatically in response.
This connection makes your tables “live” — each change can start an action.
For example:
When a new Lead is added, send a message to the sales team.
When a Ticket status is set to “Resolved,” notify the customer.
When a new Invoice is created, update the finance system or send a confirmation email.

Setting up a workflow trigger
To connect a table to a workflow:
Go to Platform → Workflows.
Click Create workflow or open an existing one.
In the trigger section, select Table Event.
Choose the table and event type:
New record created
Record updated
Record deleted
Add one or more actions — for example, send a WhatsApp message, update another table, or trigger an AI response.

Once saved, every time that event happens in your table, the workflow will run automatically.
Example automations
Here are some examples of how you can use table-triggered workflows:
Event | Action | Result |
New Lead created | Notify sales team on WhatsApp | Immediate alert |
Ticket marked as “Resolved” | Send follow-up message to customer | Automatic feedback |
New Invoice created | Update Customer record to “Active” | Data stays synced |
New Property added | Send internal notification to marketing | Real-time update |

Combining tables and workflows
Workflows can also update or create records in other tables, forming end-to-end automation loops.
For example:
A new Lead record triggers a workflow that creates an Opportunity record in another table.
Updating a Customer status triggers a workflow that closes all open Tickets.
A Payment Received workflow updates both the Invoices and Customers tables simultaneously.

This interconnected system is what makes Frontline a 360° platform — your tables, workflows, and agents all working together in real time.
Best practices
Keep workflow triggers specific. For example, run a workflow only when a status field changes, not on every update.
Combine AI population and workflows for end-to-end automation.
Use clear table and field names so triggers are easy to manage.
Test your workflow with sample data before deploying it to production.

Tip:
By combining Tables, Workflows, and Agents, you can build a fully automated environment inside Frontline.
Every time data changes, your system reacts — sending messages, updating records, and keeping everything connected in real time.
